The Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask comes in an 8.8 fl. oz plastic jar with an aluminum screw lid. Once you open the aluminum lid, there is a plastic lid on the inside. I kept that just for sanitary reasons and to make sure no air gets in to dry out the mud. The Dead Sea mud is a dark gray color. I was surprised to find that the jar was actually filled to the top because there have been several times when you open a new jar or bag of something only to be disappointed that it is half or a third filled with product only.
I really like the fact that this mud mask is in a jar, it really makes it easier to get the product out. I've purchased other kinds of masks before that were packaged in squeeze tubes. It seems like a good idea for them to be in tubes, but it gets really hard to squeeze the mask out later on when you start to run low on product. The mud is very smooth when it is applied on the face.
On the jar it states that you should leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes until it dries. Because I put the mask on a little thicker, I waited for over an hour actually. I probably could have waited longer since the mask wasn't completely dry. However, even with the masks I've used before I never had to wait for over an hour to dry completely. Unlike the masks I've used in the past, this one doesn't change to a lighter color when it's dry. The dried mask doesn't flake off when you run your hand lightly over it. If you rub it though, it does come off. This is good for those who are concerned about clogging their drains. I ended up doing this over the sink and then just wiped up those clay pieces.
I purchased this product at a promotional discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
